The Pictish Bookshelf

Siubhan

I am the former Siubhan Brigantes of Ancient Sites, herbalist of the City of Tara, and the original character developed by the person sitting behind the keyboard here (June 2000).

On Ancient Sites, I mostly played as an ancient traveller from the Orkney Islands who had travelled to the world of early Egypt, specifically to the world detailed by the group, PiRamesses. Now that Ancient Sites is to be no more, I have found myself at PanHistoria, where a variety of other pursuits has opened up in front of me. The place is still being beta-tested, so go there and sign up on their mailing list for when they officially open.

My fascination is with things Scottish (as well as Welsh and such). I figure everyone else has got the Irish connection covered.

My Novels in PanHistoria so far:

~ City of the Undead ~ (contemporary New York, where I play a Scottish vegan fruit bat vampire)
~ Scotia ~ (early Scotland as the Scots overran the Picts)
~ Legacy: A Story of Vinland and Brendan ~ (where I have yet to make up my mind)
~ Brugh na Boinne ~ (Irish prehistory and mythology, which draws me in for the possible archaeoastronomy aspect)

For some information on Picts, an early people of Scotland, you may visit my Pictish Bookshelf.

For information on medieval herbalism, you will have to wait a bit. Although you may also go to The Herbal Nexus, a site where the framed version is truely better than the alternative, and on which I strongly need to work some more.
